Trained as urban planner, Nick worked for the City of Phoenix before founding his first companies: mySidewalk, MindMixer, and Better Planning, LLC. Nick joined Sidewalk Labs in 2017; Replica spun out on its own from Alphabet in 2019 and has since raised over $50 million in funding.

Alexei received his PhD in Machine Learning (2006) and since led research in Geo and Smart Cities (DOT, DOE, NSF, NASA, IBM, Google, Microsoft, AT&T), most recently as a professor at UC Berkeley. Alexei is regarded as a leading expert in the world regarding mobile-location data in travel modeling. He was previously director of research at Sidewalk Labs.

Caroline was previously a consulting manager at Cerner Corp., a healthcare technology firm headquartered in Kansas City. She thrives off of building relationships with her colleagues and clients, and looks to empower those around her to achieve favorable results.

Prior to Replica, Marc was, from 2011-2020, the co-founder and chief revenue officer for the GovTech company SeamlessDocs. He led the acquisition of SeamlessDocs to Kofile Preservation in 2021. Marc has been passionate about building teams and go-to-market plans in government technology software companies.

Thad was previously head of product for Lyft’s Passenger Experience, where he quadrupled the team to 85 people in less than a year and spearheaded the formation of Lyft’s Airports and Venues product team. Thad has extensive experience leading product for companies from a variety of stages, as large as eBay to the startup Slice (which was acquired by Rakuten).

Kiran comes to Replica from the City of Oakland, where she was the chief resilience officer focusing on the intersection of equity and civic design. During her tenure, she co-founded the Civic Design Lab and the Oakland Fund for Public Innovation. She currently serves on the State of California’s Green Bond Development Committee and lectures on innovation, strategy, and leadership at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy.

Steven previously worked at Sidewalk Labs as a member of the real estate development team and at Deloitte Consulting as a member of the team focused on public sector innovation. Steven started his career as part of the Teach for America Hawaii corps, where he taught 7th grade.
