Replica's best in class AADT Data has 100% coverage and breakouts for commercial freight travel. Here's 5 things to know:
- You can easily query and visualize data right in the Replica platform. Use Replica’s new AADT App to visualize AADT for any county in the US. Filter AADT by road type, number of lanes, total volume, and freight volume or search for a specific street name. Easily grab the links you need for a specific study, see summary information in the app, and quickly download the data you need.
- Coverage has grown. With the 2023 release, we’ve expanded coverage on Functional Road Classes 1 through 4 to over 99.5%, and improved coverage on Classes 5 and 6 to 88%.
- Quality has improved. Replica’s 2023 AADT overall has improved to a 98.8% correlation and an 8.2% median error, when compared to observed counts collected in partnership with state DOTs from around the country and transportation data management company MS2. Quality is consistently high, with even Class 4 Roadway AADT having a 92.1% correlation and 18.8% error to the observed ground truth.
- Both AADT and Hourly Profiles breakout commercial freight volumes from personal automobile traffic. On Functional Road Classes 1 and 2, Replica provides breakouts for single-truck volume and combination truck volume, enabling nuanced analysis of commercial freight, the emissions generated by commercial vehicles, and the resilience of local shipping patterns.
